Wednesday, May 27, 2009 - Wine Wednesday: Cabernet Sauvignon (Willamette Wine Storage - Portland, OR): Large dark berries on the nose, ripe blackberry jam with vanilla/oak evident on the nose. Very similar on the palate, fruit-forward on the palate, medium bodied. Strong alcohol but carrying decent light tannins on the finish. Medium length run-out on the finish, a straight forward wine that is easy to understand. Light oak treatment does well enough throughout this wine.
