Sunday, March 1, 2015 - This was surprisingly primary despite being 14 years old. Black and macerated cherries on the nose with good dose of French oak. More macerated cherries and even cherry Luden's on the palate with very little in the way of secondary flavors. There is still a bit of oak sticking out, but I assume it will integrate given the amount of fruit that is still showing. Very balanced with good acidity and smooth but grippy tannins. This seems like it will age on its fruit for at least another 5-10 years, but I'm not sure it will pick up any secondary and tertiary flavors.
