Sunday, February 7, 2021 - Drank by itself and with pepperoni pizza during the Super Bowl. Fruit has given way in prominence to savory earth, cedar, cigar box and spice that almost fools me into thinking this is Bordeaux, but the background sweet core of fruit is unmistakably California. Tannins are fully resolved but acidity is still hanging on. Not over the hill, but it feels like a wine that's reached its plateau. Cheers!
