Friday, September 30, 2016 - Dark Ruby appearance. Almost opaque , with very little lightening at the rim. Atypical for an 07 CDP.

Youthful but pronounced nose of confected fruit- blueberry, plum, raspberry. Also savory elements- smoked meats, herbs.

Full bodied with lots of that dark fruit and savory flavor on the palate. Medium acidity and tannin. The finish is long and exhilarating.

Great wine that is surprisingly un- evolved for an 07. Will easily keep for a dozen more years in a cold cellar and I think this is a rare examples of an 07 that will be drinking better in 2020 than today.
