Monday, May 4, 2020 - Mid crimson to brick red; Warm, sultry nose filled with ripe red fruits: Bing cherry, soaked cranberries, spicy oak, some cedar box, vanilla and dried sweet spices. Medium to full-bodied, with prominent red fruits, savoury edge with a sumptuous melted chocolate texture and fine powdery tannins. Plenty of vanilla bean, cinnamon, clove, mocha coffee and cassia root, the oak positively influencing the wine. There is almost a right bank Pomerol aspect to the wine. A long undulating finish. Delicately structured (feminine) wine seamless and wonderful depth. Outstanding!
