The palate has clearly evolved, as the tannins have softened, but there remains a structural framework that balances the depth of fruit and savory elements. I find it hard to believe that this is seventeen years old. It certainly seems poised for making old bones, as the balance and fruit levels are set for a long journey. Fantastic Syrah!
