Wednesday, January 19, 2022 - Drinking well. Classic Terra de Lavoro character, with the edges a bit smoother than the 2011s we’ve been enjoying, owing to its age. Significant sediment was difficult to keep at bay without decanting (even pulling via Coravin brought up a fair bit of sediment). Compared to the 2011, a bit less fruit and a bit more drying, from the more obvious, albeit very fine, tannins. But nonetheless another beautiful bottle of Terra de Lavoro.
