Sunday, June 19, 2011 - Note after being decanted for 4 hours. Deep, dark, inky purple color. Blackberries, cherries, fresh ground espresso, dark chocolate, pepper, and a bit of alcohol on the nose. Full bodied with sold tannins and good acidity. Big and bold on the palate with the fruit and savory elements melding into a very tasty and complex bottle of wine. Fairly long finish that does thin out a touch. I think this warrants considerable cellar time. Tasty but you can sense the power still buried behind the tannins.
