Saturday, March 1, 2014 - This has an absolutely sensational nose which is agonisingly nuanced with minty, savoury herbs, high-toned red fruit all tethered by a funky marmite-like weight. The palate is a medium-bodied and a little jagged although far from disjointed and there are smooth tannins on the finish. Slightly uneven structure suggests this should be drunk up now.

Day 2 shows improvement on the palate with some lovely coffee/tobacco/leather notes bringing real character. The structure is also much more rounded, creamy and amenable.
