Saturday, February 15, 2020 - Still insanely good after all these years! Maybe I just got lucky with these two bottles (first one many years ago), but holy crap is this ever fantastic! After a freaking cork disaster (think, 200 or more pieces), this started off as an interesting mix of power and tart red fruit. Over time with the open bottle (3 hours or so, no decant), it morphed into a classic CSJ -- classic regardless of vintage (full disclosure: I like 2007, by and large). This has power that defies the vintage, but is restrained, and has that 'ethereal' component here and there. Awesome.
