90 Points

Thursday, January 28, 2010 - I purchased three from Wine.woot, one each of 2003, 2004, 2005. I didn't care much for the 2003, but the 2004 was a very pleasant surprise. Even though the mix of grapes in the 2005 is the same as the 2004, it isn't quite up to those standards. On the other hand, the 2004 was outstanding, and hard to measure up to. The 2005 is still very worthy for an american port-like wine, and I am enjoying it. Complex, smoky, and with all those amazing undernotes that a good fortified wine should possess.

[Edit] This is a port that benefits strongly from decanting. I changed my rating from 87 to 90, after having other glasses, later, and the next day. The slight harshness disappears, and you are left with a very worthy drink Eqaul to the 2004, and the 2004 was excellent.
