Monday, August 29, 2011 - What a wonderful wine . Drank this from a Magnum. This decanted for about 60-75 minutes before we had this dinner at Press in St. Helena. Enjoyed this with the cowboy steak, Wild Boar Sausage and Filet Skewers. The Far Niente 97 had such a great softer tone, not remotely heavy on tannins...which was what I expected. I am a fan of Far Niente wines and it's no secret that they need to age, this was an atypical example of a great wine, that aged nicely.
