90 Points

Wednesday, February 24, 2010 - This has evolved from my first bottle a year ago. Upon opening I noted an abundance of cherry fruit forward, almost sweet...but where had the tannins gone? After a two hour decant, everything came back together. The fruit and sweetness had mellowed and the tannins reemerged...albeit at a much more moderate level. The second day..even better. The wine became much more integrated with a nice balance of fruit, tannins and slight oak..making for a medium bodied wine with a rich mouth feel. I am surprised this has come along so fast. I would recommend that this wine be consumed over the next 5 years...since it is drinking well now.
