94 Points

Tuesday, September 14, 2010 - We decanted for two hours and experienced strong blackberry, leather, and slight maple syrup scents on the nose. Upon palate-entry an immediately strong/smooth Chambord (raspberry) liquor-heat mellowed into a distinct espresso and Mexican bittersweet chocolate mid-palate. The Clare Luce mouthfeel redefines the "silky" adjective--that said, this cabernet has considerable structure, mild acidity, and the finest of tannins. The vanilla-creme finish expanded from 20-30 seconds over four hours. Balanced to the 3rd power!
