Saturday, April 29, 2017 - A conservative 87 as this wine seems to have held well with only a slight brick\rust tint in color showing its age. The wine is more robust in body than I would expect from a Pinot Noir, and maybe presents with a little more ETOH than I would expect too (the bottle label was warn off where the alc.% is listed, so I didn't know what to expect.) Otherwise this is still showing a pleasantly pronounced nose, with tasting notes recalling some red berry, a little earth, but nothing overly complex. All in, this was a nice find in the back of my cellar, a bottle that I firmly believe would not benefit from further aging and perhaps is beginning to fade.
