Saturday, November 18, 2023 - Nebbiolos, white truffles, Volume VIII (Chicago, IL): #1016. Opened at 9:30am, and left in a decanter starting at 11am. This was the most accessible wine of the flight and drinking very, very well (as has been the case for a while now). Red fruited, floral, and a good balance of weight and elegance. Approachable now, but certainly with enough in the bank for decades to come. I'm a big fan of this wine, and the contents of the group's cellars can also attest to that not being a unique opinion.
