Monday, December 29, 2014 - Had a vertical tasting with Chante le Merle from four vintages: 07, 09, 11 and 12.

This bottle came out to be the best of the four vintages.

A fine, fine nose with roses, vanilla ice cream, candied cherries, juniper tree and goose berry jam.

Balanced on the palate with bacon, kirsch and zingy acid. Great balance between fruit and acid. Tannins still a bit tough. Can rest for a few more years.
