Friday, February 16, 2024 - Deep, dark toned nose. The plate is dense but years have tamed this beast, black cherries, black olives, oak-spice, smoke, fennel and cassis infused Cabernet Sauvignon elements. Great the way oak has melded into the fruit component, albeit the sweetness is somehow still there. Good fresh acidity and sweet, non obtrusive tannins. Stately and modern but thanks to the age not exactly polished. This sits comfortable on its plateau of maturity and is very enjoyable now.
