94 Points

Saturday, May 30, 2020 - Uncorked 2 hours prior to serving into Zalto Burgundy glass (“Fruit” day): Pale ruby to the eyes.

More red berry fruits here. Animale notes.

Very refined on the palate. Silky tannins.

Surprising more like a decade’s difference on flavour profile compared to the 2002 which is amazingly primary. More 94 points to me but clearly still quite a long way from maturity.

5 hours upon opening: Again the fruits are much superior, arguably at a different league compared to other wines tasted tonight. More berry fruits that is ultra detailed, smoke, tar and roses here. Hints of herbal, and vegetal notes like celery too. Really nice wine here and above the rest tasted. 94 points solid.
