Pure and deep but not heavy, there is some cool herbal and floral notes, along with some spice, that add to the very well done but not overdone fruit. Medium to full bodied but it quite light on its feet. While mostly resolved, there are some almost chewy tannins on the back end. I seem to get this type of tannins on Sangiovese FWIW. This is nicely focused and has great balance. In a great place right now. I am sure it will hang out at this peak level for several more years, but I doubt I will see it getting better.
