Despite the hot 2007 vintage and the noticeable Syrah in the blend, this has very good freshness and the fruit is not overripe or burned, nor are there any oxidative signs. On the less positive side, the wood is still noticeable after 13 years and as the fruit is obviously on the retreat, this is at risk of drying out given the medium tannins. Fairly short finish.
Overall nothing too complex and a nice midweek Pizza or Pasta wine, and well done by Antinori in dealing with the 2007 heat.
