Monday, September 26, 2022 - Surprisingly even deep ruby throughout. Promising, forward aromas of black cherry and soil. Then in the mouth, hollow and dry to start. This quickly perked up to show a lighter weight wine with a strong soil base and rather simple dark red fruit with minimal green notes, but the palate never caught up to the nose. Short finish. Unimpressive. My notes in 2019 and 2021 were more enthusiastic-past prime? Shouldn't be but sure seems that way.
