Monday, September 19, 2011 - Pinot like in color and depth, aromas of moderate cherry and blackberry with a hint of rasberry. Medium-sweet but very short finish, light and smooth bodied wine. Powerful fruit in the nose, but missing the big fruit in the mouth, thin cherry on the front and hint of vanilla on the back with a quick flash of juniper. Very much unlike the traditional "Z" I am accustom to, so I believe I waited too long to drink, certainly an anomoloy of his great vintages.
