Sunday, November 21, 2004 - My favorite of the vintage. A dark, nearly black beauty that reeks of ripe black cherry, cassis, coffee and rare steak. The brooding nose gives way to big fruit on the palate. It has beautifully balanced acid and tannin that starts and finishes with a smooth, tannic curve. It's a bit closed but the forever finish bodes for a great evenings ten year from now. Not a typical Latour but a really good one.
