Saturday, October 13, 2012 - Clear appearance with medium-intensive cranberry colour.
Clean and strong nose is rustic. Lots of foresty and earthy aromas. Tannins smell strongly. Some leathery touch and a hint of rowanberries.
Full-bodied taste is earthy and a bit woody at first. Sawdust-like tannins mellow soon to fruitiness. Acidity is balanced. Lengthy wine. Soft after decanting for four hours. Pencil shavings after being open for 7h.
Needs air but opens up OK. Rather smooth in the end.
