Wednesday, February 24, 2021 - Delicious from first pour, ripe, open and surprisingly fleshy but feeling very well built. Really opened up after about an hour or so. An almost merlot like lusciousness Coming through which I’ve never seen in the 2001. I’ve had a few bottles of the 01 and this was by far the best experience. it’s really hit it’s strides. given this is the latour clearly no rush I guess a couple of decades of ageing runway left but it’s so good now why wait?
