Thursday, October 17, 2013 - Double decanted and tasting double blind; group tasting at Il Capriccio.

Clearly the Brunello of the night. I've enjoyed this wine on multiple occasions, and it clearly standings out as one of the best QPR Brunello's I've ever had. A slightly modern style with ripe fruit, silky tannins, and a long finish.

A true standout from the 2004 vintage, which is just beginning to enter its drinking window; one which should be open for at least another decade.

1/14/2014 8:53:00 AM - Yours is very similar to my note of 2/5/2012. One of the best Brunellos I've ever tasted. Still have six in my cellar and will probably be opening one soon. :)

    Cheers!
