Thursday, November 14, 2013 - Nice nose, with ripe strawberry and blackberry syrah aromas, light wormwood, bitter almond, dark chocolate and wood spice. Smooth entry on the palate, with polished mouthfeel yet astringent tannins. An excellent food companion, but after the meal is finished, oak and bitter chocolate gets more prominent. Hard to tell whether to keep or not, but we'd like to work on the bitterness and the fruit seems to have the stuffing for another three to five.
