90 Points

Saturday, August 1, 2009 - Some development in the color and although dark, not a very dark sangiovese wine a la Casanova de Neris normale. Dark berries and some vanilla in the nose, and in the mouth a fantastic concentration of fruit. Actually this is one of the most concentrated brunellos I've ever had. Aftertaste is extremely long and the tannins soft. My conclusion is that this is none doubt a very well made wine with tons of young fruit, and it's easy to drink. Nevertheless, the expression of the wine is too modern in the sense that I lack typicity of the sangiovese grape.
