Saturday, April 12, 2014 - Bright raspberry and earth notes on the nose. Took about 90 minutes to open up and then was just incredible. Full bodied, but with outstanding balance, integration and complexity. Showed bright raspberry up front, backed by cherry and finished with earth, leather and cream notes. Quite smooth through the middle with layers of complexity and moved seamlessly to the finish. Tannins were well integrated and finish overall showed very good length. This has the structure to continue to improve over several more years and is one of the best brunellos I have had recently.
