Sunday, July 12, 2015 - I have difficulty rating this, as it's not my preferred style of wine. It gushes with ripe, ripe, sweet fruit - more than a bit over the top. But when one considers the labor of love that goes into this wine whose vines grow on a 60% slope, still ploughed by Lee Martinelli himself, one has to pause and taste again. I drank a half bottle solo with a rack of slow-smoked BBQ ribs. What a match! I've been buying my allocation iof this wine for 21 years, and I'll continue to never leave a bottle unbought.
