89 Points

Wednesday, December 26, 2007 - Drank at the Toks. Lovely, straightforward, easy drinking at its age, just beginning to dip over the hill. Deep red colour, with an orangey-brown rim showing its age. Stewed cherries on the palate, darkening to cassis after some time, with hints of vanilla and some chocolate coming through after some time in the glass. The tannins that are rather noticeable in younger vintages have smoothened out, but there is still a good amount of freshness - just enough to keep the wine up. Drink now if you have more.
