Thursday, November 9, 2017 - 2017 Villa d’Este Wine Symposium - Kelly and Kevin's excellent adventure; 11/9/2017-11/14/2017 (Villa D’este, Lake Como and Milan): A bit coiled youthful nose displaying ripe black fruit with a hint of red, blackberry, strawberry jam, sweet spices and earth. Medium concentration, ripe black fruit driven palate impression, good acidity, noticeable but none obtrusive tannins and a medium to long jammy black fruit and limestone/mineral driven finish. Not the level of the Roumier version but enjoyable and promising. Perhaps another ten years to reach the peak.
