Saturday, February 15, 2014 - Deep garnet colour. The nose showed red and dark berries, violets, and a smoky hint. In the palate, the wine had a dense (especially for a 2007) texture and persistent flavours of sappy, slightly toasty fruit, florals, and a bit of underbrush. Medium tannins and acids. Primary, like many 2007s, drinkable now, but this has the material to age and develop.
