Friday, December 31, 2010 - Powerful vanilla oak on the nose, with some ripe tropical fruit emerging later. Tasted next to a 2008 Puligny and initially Mrs H thought the palate was quite Burgundian - with more time in the glass, the oak on the palate became much more noticeable. A real alcoholic kick. Thoroughly enjoyable and went beautifully with lobster. Opened three hours in advance (but not decanted) - drinking very well now but will keep and develop for a few years yet - personally I'd drink now tho'.
