Friday, September 2, 2011 - The 12th of 13 bottles, third and likely last note. Consistent with the 4/11 note, it appears the freshness of youth has gone away and the elegant charming chardonnay of 2009 is gone. Fruit has receeded, and the toasty oak too prevelent. Still a gracious mouthfeel, just not aging gracefully. My guess is to ignore these for a year of so and see if it comes out the other side of a dumb phase.
