Monday, May 1, 2006 - Started off with a volatile nose. Lots of sediment in the bottle. Upfront acids, thin, raw blackberry and a silty texture. A bit rough. Nice fruit underneath. Cola notes. Opened up very prettily with fuller body and richer fruits. Definite dustiness. Soft, but bright with a nice definition. Grew more enjoyable over time and picked up weight and undertones of pollen, brick and more berry. Really nice. Perhaps a Monte Bello signature with the dustiness?
