Friday, August 24, 2018 - What a difference a year makes!
Last September it was nearly perfect, but now it has entered a brooding phase. All of the elements of greatness are there, but it seems to be curled up, resting - like a youngster .... growing, taking on weight, structure and depth. When it "comes back to life" it may exceed perfection; it could be other-worldly.
Even in its current state, this wine is superior to the legendary 1961 Latour I enjoyed about 8 years ago.
