Monday, December 18, 2023 - My first La Tache, but this bottle / vintage didn't really hold up to the high expectations. There are some interesting flavors on the nose with dark and red cherries, spices, and violets. But it also feels a bit soupy and lacking freshness. There's great acidity on the palate but despite that it feels like it's missing some precision and cut. Good finish. It's by no means a bad wine (it's even a very good wine), just not showing the greatness this is supposedly capable of.
