Sunday, July 13, 2008 - Took to a golf/wine off-line. Bottle stayed in a cooler all afternoon, so served slightly chilled. Pop and pour. Cork in excellent shape; throwing some sediment. Color was medium red with no bricking. In fact, the color, nose and palate were all surprisingly youthful and red-toned. A mellow wine with good balance and fully resolved tannin. Lively, but not strident, fruits. Full and round on the tongue leading to a smooth finish with nary a discordant or overblown note to be found. Holding well. I am glad that I tried this before the bigger styled Zins and Syrahs.
