Friday, November 7, 2008 - Drank at dinner in a Brazilian restaurant and this wine was perfect with food. If you are looking for complexity, etc. this may not be your cup of tea but if you want a nice easy drinking wine with dinner this is it. While it was not fruity there was notes of vanilla and earth and very soft tannins with soft finish with what I thought was nice balance. Having said this I must note that I was drinking by the glass since others at the table didn't drink wine. The first glass was from an already opened bottle and I felt was weak. When asking for the second glass I inquired about the time the bottle had been open and the waiter told me that this glass was from a brand new bottle. Interestingly the new bottle is what I am describing above after about 30 minutes being allowed to breathe. He did not know how long the bottle had been opened for the first glass. In all this is a 'decent' wine.
