Thursday, May 6, 2010 - It's been three months since I last visited this wine (and I really need to get the others to the off site). Details on the wine are on my first TN, so no need for duplicity.
Perfect cork. Color a nice garnet ruby. Nose was explosive when first opened. Reminded me of my first Turleys that just had the classic zin nose. The wine was a bit sharp/shrill at first, so i poured a small glass, corked the rest and revisited in an hour... if an hour helped, two hours helped more. I completely misjudged this wine the first time since this is built for the long hall. Blackberry, ripe raspberry, briar and some floral quality. I get some spice on the long finish... that coupled with the acidity give it some lift and snap. Not a heavy wine at all, but could use a little more time in the bottle to intergrate.
