Sunday, October 24, 2010 - 14.8% alcohol. Drinking beautifully now. Red-purple color, with a nose that is anything but shy: blackberry, briary, spicy black fruit, and a light mineral note. In the mouth, striking balance for a wine of this concentration and size, putting gobs of black fruit up front but with enough restraint to allow the complexity to shine through. Really coming out of its youthful shell. A-/A
