Friday, November 26, 2010 - 14.8% alcohol. This wine is so much fun to drink and report on. One of California's great old vine, field blend wines, planted in 1927 by Alcide Pelletti. 1927 was a good year from the NY Yankees and Babe Ruth. 2010 was a great year for the Gigantes. There must be some sort of symmetry for a Giant fan drinking this wine.

A field blend including some Petite, Alicante and Grand Noir. Expressive nose of red fruit. Intense and well balanced flavors of rasberry, cranberry, pepper and spice. A little more red-fruit focused, slightly more lively than a typical Carlisle Carlise. It is superb!
