Monday, July 25, 2011 - Given to me as a gift...probably more than I deserved. This was nice. Maybe a bit too much fruit and jam, but in the grand scheme a pretty good wine. Raspberry and cherry fruit, with some licorice and chocolate. Not too much tannin, and good enough acidity it can be a food wine as well as a cocktail wine. Didn't notice the nearly 15% alcohol. Good mouth feel and rich blue-purple color.
