Wednesday, July 20, 2011 - shy nose that seems to be holding back, with air shows black pepper and floral aromas, initially everything about this wine was all over the place, and then it settled together and the body started to show weight, this is indeed uniquely food-friendly, not heavy, with a solid acidic backbone, the vivid red fruit, black currants, blueberries, meaty, iron and herbal flavors creep in with air time, I would recommend holding on to these longer as they were built to age gracefully (like an old-world syrah)
