Sunday, May 17, 2009 - Decanted about 2 hours prior to tasting. Dark purple color. The nose had of currant and cassis aromas. The palate showed flavors of dark fruits with notes of chocolate and spice. Full bodied with a nice mouthfeel, and a long finish. This was the second time that I tasted this wine, but it seemed a bit shut down right now. It started to open up a bit more after about 4 hours, but still wasn't nearly as expressive as it was back in early 07. It was nice to be able to taste this wine again after a few more years of bottle age.
