Monday, December 25, 2006 - Drank with the fam for Christmas Dinner with horseradish crusted tenderloin. Decanted for 2 hours in open Riedel cabernet decanter and consumed over 1.5 hours. Started off tight still, with very fine tannins. Started to shine at the end of the night with beautiful balance and pure fruit. I guess it did not live up to it's 100pt reputation, but it was damn fine. Upside potential in the future, but I cannot guess how long lived this wine will be.
