Friday, July 29, 2005 - First look at this Pape. Beautiful nose right out of the gates, with sweet tobacco, smoke, blackcurrents. On the palate the wine has a lush mouthfeel, with some fine tannins still present. The wine is perhaps 3 years away from full maturity. I think it could get a couple more points if it keeps filling out.
