Friday, December 25, 2020 - Christmas dinner, with standing rib roast. 2 hour decant and it really showed beautifully after that. Nose of cassis cherry and smoky leather over a medium rich palate of more cherry but some classic herbal tobacco-y notes showing. Still youthful with a bit of tannin yet, but gorgeous with dinner. A great wine of its time and place.
